"I bared it all on this record. I opened my heart, exposed my family's tragedies, and when it was done, I had nothing else to give.

Hello again TM Roadshow listeners!

We just had another amazing week of music with the Bart Crow Band! The Texas Music Roadshow crew and I traveled to Outskirts Nightclub in Wichita Falls Texas. Outskirts is the biggest venue that we have visited thus far, and the atmosphere was great. You can do anything from two-step to play pool or shuffle board. If you're ever in Wichita and want to stop by Outskirts, you can find it at 5029 Old Jacksboro Hwy.

On our way to Wichita Falls we had to make an emergency stop (much to my fiance's delight) at Hooters because the Angry Sound guy was demanding fried pickles and wings. After some good wings, good beer and superb service, we all loaded back up in the Yukon and continued northbound.

When we arrived at Outskirts we met with the manager Carol. She gave me a rundown of Outskirts and how she got into the business. We also discussed our love for music and had fun quizzing each other on some Texas and Red Dirt history. Carol is very cool and she knows a lot about this music!

Bart Crow and his band showed up shortly after our interview with Carol. We watched them set up for the show and then I got the chance to interview Bart. Talk about a down -to-earth guy! He was so nice. The interview with Bart was different than most interviews we have done, it was just a little bit more personal, and that was really cool. (Don't miss this interview!!)

After chatting with Bart for a while we decided to grab a bite to eat before the show. We stopped at an old-fashioned drive- in called Scott's, also located on Jacksboro Hwy. Scott's had a 1950's feel and the hamburgers and milkshakes were to die for. Next time I'm in Wichita Falls I'll definitely be headed back there.

Once we were done eating we headed back to Outskirts where I met up with some family friends who live in the area and wanted to see the show. By this time beer was only 75 cents, so we had a good time to say the least. When Bart and his band came on, the crowd was ready. Everyone was dancing and loving the music. It's always fun for me to witness people enjoying the music that I love.

This 26 week adventure is proving to truly be a once in a lifetime experience, and I can't wait till next week! Thanks to everybody that made this week possible, I appreciate it very much.
