We had another great weekend; we hung out with No Justice at The Ranch in Midland TX. The Ranch is a really cool spot, what a great place to check out a concert. We had a blast and I think everybody in Midland knows we did as well!
I was so excited to do a show with No Justice; I have been a big fan for a long time. It was great getting to meet Steve Rice; out of all the artists that I have met, he is the funniest. After setting up all of our gear and doing sound check we all went over to a little Mexican food place called Jorge's. The food was good and I really enjoyed getting to know the all of the guys of No Justice. Normally when I go to these shows I only get to talk to the lead singer because that's who I interview, but when we all went to dinner together I got to meet the whole band and that was really cool. Everyone was so nice and very down to earth. Steve did gross everybody out when he ordered the menudo. I think it is basically cow intestine soup. I guess he really liked it because he ate a huge bowl of it!
When we got back to the Ranch, the drinking began. Apparently it's just not the TMR, unless we all get hammered. Before the show, I interviewed Steve Rice; all I can say is don't miss this one! He is a really funny guy and we ended having to edit a few parts out (but that was mostly my fault). After the interview they played a great set and mixed in a couple new songs from their album that is coming out this summer! The record is going to be titled 2nd Avenue and it will not disappoint, trust me on that!! Make sure you keep up with everything with No Justice at www.nojustice.com.
We all had a really good time in Midland and the guys from No Justice band couldn't have been any nicer. The staff at the Ranch was on top of it too, which always makes for a nice night; each time we finished a drink, the waitress was right there to bring us a new one. We have so much traveling every week bringing you the best live music you can find anywhere. Thank you so much for listening! Just a reminder we have Mr. Jason Boland next week, we are so excited about that!!!
