I am so excited about this week because we hung out with one of my favorite bands at my favorite live music venue... Reckless Kelly at Gruene Hall in Gruene Texas!!
The band put on a great show and we had such a good time down in Gruene. I love the Hill Country so any chance I get to go down there I take it. We had some friends from Austin and San Antonio meet us down there and well things got a little crazy to say the least. I have to let everyone know that this TMR trip was by far the craziest trip we have had.
We got to Gruene at about 4:00pm. Jess and I drove from College Station and Brother Josh and the Angry Sound Guy met us there. When we were setting up my friends Jackson and Lauren showed up and so did Jess' friend Ashley, oh and Jason the Shot Guy and his Girlfriend came too (recipe for disaster). We finished setting up and then we all walked over to the Gristmill.
When we arrived at the Gristmill Brother Josh, The Angry Sound Guy and I were all a few beers deep as usual. We continued the drinking as we ordered a couple Margaritas at the Mill. Jess and the girls started with a pitcher of sangria. We all ate and drank and then made it back over to the e concert started so that I could interview Willy. The interview was awesome, and I found out some pretty interesting stuff (make sure you listen this week), the concert was so great too!
Once I finally got everyone back to the hotel the craziness began. I can't really tell you where Jess and the other girls were but I can tell you the Jason, Brother Josh, the Angry Sound Guy and a friend of mine AO all decided that it would be a good idea to drive to San Marcos and "hit up the square". That's not even the worst part though, once the square closed at 2am they all headed to College Station.
The story I got from that night was a little hazy and there were a lot of things that didn't add up. But I'll tell you this, I do know that the Angry Sound guy ordered 100 shots for everyone at Nephews in San Marcos and ran up a $500 bar tab. After the square they came back to the hotel in New Braunfels; grabbed all of the remaining beer and then headed to College Station.
