I hope you didn't miss last week's show with Reckless Kelly, we had so much fun! But we had a blast this week as well; we hung out with Ryan Beaver. He's from Emory Texas, one of my favorite places in the world! Growing up my family had a farm down in Emory and every weekend I would go there and ride horses and four-wheelers. I practically grew up on that farm and it was great getting to share those experiences with Ryan.
Ryan's show was at Woody's Tavern in Fort Worth Texas. It's a cool little bar right off highway 20 in a shopping center. As soon as we got there The Angry Sound Guy would not knock it off with the Tuaca RedBull's. He probably had 6 of them within the first 20 minutes of arriving, and you know he just gets angrier when he's drunk. We always take a vote when deciding where we are going to eat and he kept demanding we go to Hooters. Brother Josh and I are never opposed to going to eating Hooter's, but it's just so embarrassing going with the Angry Sound Guy (especially when he's drunk). He wants to marry every girl there. So Brother Josh and I had to veto the Hooter's demands and just head over to the Black-eyed Pea.
After dinner we headed back over to Woody's. The interview with Ryan went great, and like I said earlier it was just great getting to reminisce about Emory with him.
After the interview Ryan and his band went on stage. They put on an awesome show. If you haven't heard of Ryan Beaver, check him out ASAP (www.ryanbeaver.com). He is a phenomenal songwriter and great performer.
The Texas Music Roadshow had a great time at Woody's. The Angry Sound Guy found himself a "cute little filly" (that's what he was calling her all night) and Brother Josh and I had a few too many. Thanks for listening everybody and we will see you next week for Rich O'Toole!
